NC News Network, August 25, 2009, 1030 hrs

Networking Solutions Provider D-Link flagged off BITS 2009, its multi-city technology road show, in New Delhi on August 13, 2009. BITS (Building Innovative Technology Solutions) is being attended by technology users from the corporate, education, and government sectors. The series is being held between August and November 2009 in 39 Indian cities and three SAARC countries—Kathmandu, Dhaka, and Colombo.

The attendance at the corporate and government sessions in New Delhi was favorable with a full house for the government session in the evening. D-Link technology specialists demonstrated how technology innovations can be used to solve networking problems in the above mentioned sectors.

For users in the government sector, one concern relates is security. To address this, D-Link specialists demonstrated how networking components can be configured for maximum security.

One of the concerns of the education sector is that of students logging in to P2P networks and downloading large media files. In response, the specialists showed how UDP sessions can be limited.

Yogesh Sharma, VP, North Region, D-Link, discussed the networking challenges that customers in these sectors faced. Traditional challenges include faulty cabling in old buildings.
